The Band (Tony and The Bandits) brought in Ivan Browne From The Sabers (his former group)to replace Tony Brazis. They were still booking under the name of Tony and The Bandits until The name change.
The Lemon Pipers name was derived from the Local Lemon-Monroe High school that one of the members of The Bandits attended. Ivan still to this day admits he hated the name choice of the band. He wanted something more Rockabilly sounding in nature.

My Band was "The Rhode Runners" 64-67 Cincy. Tony Brazis and Bill Bartlett taught me to play guitar and manage the band in exchange for my artistic abilities and promotions.
