Baby, I Love You

Jeff Barry

One of my all-time favorite Jeff Barry-produced recordings, "Baby, I Love You" became the first of Andy Kim's gold records after it was released in 1969 (The Ronettes had introduced the Jeff Barry/Ellie Greenwich/Phil Spector-penned tune to the world several years earlier). Andy Kim brought a sweet yet very masculine sexiness to the song, and this video illustrates why legions of ladies have fallen for the tall, dark and handsome singer, and members of both sexes consider him to be The Voice. (Note: it was Jeff who played the drums on Andy's version - yup, he's the dude responsible for the signature drumbeat that opens the song.)
